CX Cemex S.A.B. de C.V. ADR shares (NYS) Trading

Cemex, in my opinion is oversold even in current market and should bounce before 10/28/2021 earnings report. My current average is $6.64 per share

Today, 10/12/2021 Tuesday was another positive day for CX stock....it closed at $6.85, after reaching intra day high of $6.91......

Today 10/14/2021 Thursday was another positive day for CX Cemex shares after it closed 27 cents up or 3.96% on low volume in overall very positive market, which was rallying for tomorrows option expiration date ?

BTU Peabody Energy Corp.

Coal mining,-  BTU,Peabody Energy Corp.
Anyway you look at it, it's very unattractive company.
First of all, coal as source of power is on it's way out because of high pollution generation.
Second, price of coal is close to 10 year low.
Yet, about 35 % of power plants in US run on coal and government wont let this industry disappear overnight.
There is not much hope for coal producers and traders in long run, but short term call option trade could be rewarding .... IMO
*I am thinking, the hot summer could cause higher demand for energy and force energy producers to restart coal plants and that could put upward pressure on coal prices....Higher coal prices could benefit coal producers like Peabody Energy BTU, chart also looks promising with oversold signs.
-I am long on BTU calls with expiration July 17th, let's see what happens in next 2 weeks....

TTM, Tata Motors Call Options

TTM, Tata Motors, may be it is not high flyer or darling of he Wall Street, but this stock used to be trading at +$50 a share in 2015 and now it barely trades above $6.50 a share after hitting 15 years low at $3.82 about 3 months ago .
Does it mean that major manufacturer of motor cars in India is going out of business or Indian economy is about to collapse?
I don't think so, sooner or later Indian market and Indian rupee will stabilize and demand for Tata cars and trucks will go to normal, besides, this company is in hands of Tata family which is majority holder with great pride and traditions.
IMO, I don't bet that this stock will turn in a rocket any time soon, but I would follow it with monthly call options bought on any significant pull backs in stock price.
Right now, I am long on July 17th @$5 call options for $158.....

CCK, Crown Holdings, Inc Case study

CCK, Crown Holdings, Inc or Crown Cork & Seal Company as it used to be known, in December of 2001 was $1 stock.
There is nothing special about this company, an old and boring manufacturer of metal packaging which has been in existence since 1892.
I remember when CCK went below $1 a share in 2001 I gave up on watching it because there was no news about it, financial information was very limited and all I knew, that it had P/S below 0.1, shrinking sales and negative earnings. Since being very old company, I assumed that there might have some other problems behind very low price, like labor disputes with unions, high debt or something else.
I almost forgot about this stock, but sometimes later I checked price of CCK and I couldn't believe my eyes, it was trading around $10 a share in sluggish to bearish market of 2002

*Below chart shows CCK trading range between September 2001 and March 2002

Example of CCK chart is interesting because it shows signs and patterns of accumulation of stock by "insiders", bankers and institutions, these guys don't buy 100s, 1000s of shares, they buy them in millions. Of course they buy into current information which is not available to average investor or trader.
All that mumbo jumbo you might hear on TV or read on investment portals, that market moved down because higher unemployment rate or moved up because of FED cut interest rates is nothing else but trying to give "reason" to  average Joe why market is fluctuating, in reality market/stocks are going through periods of accumulations and distributions or profit taking by "big boys". To move trillions of dollars worth of stocks up or down is a biggest industry in the world......and I still try to figure this out, why are they doing this? because for every winner in the market, there must be one who lost money.
*Market making,- Every stock in stock market has assigned institution or couple of them which are responsible for providing liquidity to particular stock when someone tries to buy it or sell it, any imbalance in buy and sell orders, make stock move up or down. Market makers have obligation to fulfill your order no matter what, even if they don't have shares of particular stock on hand. In situation like this, they take "short position", which means they will profit from this transaction only when and if stock price go below price they paid for.

Sasol SSL Call Options June

Sasol SSL Website

Seems like Sasol SSL chart became very compressed, also daily volume has been going on for last 12 days below 5 million shares a day, even on a days when stock lost more than 12% and went below $4.00 a share.
I think, SSL will start to move up pretty soon.
I am long another 10 contracts on June 19th @$7.50 at $10 per contract for total $100.

Upwork UPWK Company I like, Call Options

Upwork's Website

First time in a while I found company with great growth potential and fair valuation. Probably I wouldn't notice UPWK as a stock worth interest, if not for high volume day and substantial jump in price, because, usually I don't look for companies with valuations over 1 P/S. So I checked fundamentals, and I realized UPWK has market cap of less than 1.5 billion which is very unusual in technology sector, it doesn't make any profit, has revenue growth +20%, that's still nothing special to get excited about, until you read some more to find that Upwork is a leader in the field of remote hiring, it has been around since 1999, much longer than any competitor and has new CEO (Hayden Brown) in place with vision to execute growth at higher rate, possibly at +50% pace.
So, the very next day I bought 2 call contracts with expiration June 19th and strike $12.5 at average price $1.55 per contract. Now, let's hope that Upwork continues on it's uptrend to make me some money :)

Venator Materials VNTR, Betting on "Dogs"- Call Options

 Link to Venator Materials

Venator Materials (VNTR) is very interesting company, besides wide range of products they offer, their valuation is incredibly low.
Shrinking revenues and earning are not as bad as charts could make us believe or explain why this +$20 per share stock is trading now around $1.25.
If there are some underlying problems with this company, we don't  know that, but I would rather attribute oversold condition of VNTR to shrinking economy, lower demand for products and sluggish commodity prices.
Is VNTR worth buying at this stage? yes and no,  NO, because we don't know how long this economical slump will last and when commodity prices will start to move up to catch up with hidden inflation. YES, because right now VNTR is trading  much below 0.1 price to sales and could be subject to hostile takeover, buyback from (HUN) Huntsman Corporation at price much higher than Friday $1.25 closing....ahmm, like between $7- $15 a share ?. Of course, what I am writing here is pure speculation, but still, in my opinion VNTR stock belongs to $5-$7 range or even higher.
I don't intend to buy into Venator, because it is too risky, yet, I am thinking about following this stock with "Long shot" call option strategy, it costs only $5 per contract on June 19th $2.5 strike. If VNTR "decides" to move to the upside, I believe, the jump can be rather explosive, on high volume and that will propel call option prices skyward.

Socially and Polically correct investing

For last couple of years, so called "socially and politically correct" mostly governmental funds have been dumping "incorrect" stocks from their portfolios. First, they started with gun manufacturers, then time came to sell fossil fuel companies and booze enterprises .
May be there wouldn't be anything special about it, after all, we can invest as we are pleased, but if all Canadian government funds dump local stocks like Molson Coors and Canadian oil companies which offer employment to Canadians and pay local taxes, not to mention dividends to investors, because they are "socially incorrect" and buy JD.com retailer in China, then may be Canadians  should ask Chinese to pay their retirement benefits in the future ? .....just a thought

ADM is ready to bounce up

ADM - Archer Daniels Midland Co. is one of world's major traders in agricultural commodities. It's a stable company with good valuation and solid dividends not like some tech high flyers with outrageous P/S, propelled  to the upside mostly by hype, short squeezes and institutional buying.
Also, what I like about AMD it's high liquidity of options.
On 05/07/2020, Thursday, I went long on May 22nd $36.5 strike call options with average price $40 per contract after I realized that this stock short term oversold below $35 and is ready to bounce to the upside and hopefully start it's bull run toward ex-dividend date which is on 5/19/2020 .
My risk is pretty low and limited, even if I will be wrong with my prediction, but if I am right, reward could be substantial in range of 100-300 % or even more, if ADM "decides" to go on "rocket ride" for some reason, like interest from institutional buyers ...?

TAP Stock looks oversold

Looks like TAP (Molson Coors Beverage Co Class B) is ready to form the bottom and bounce back. If you look up the whole sector of beverages stocks, they show  similar characteristics, including BUD and KO.
I decided to go with TAP because it has better value and greater upside potential.
As of today I am long on Call option May 22 with strike at $39.5 for  0.58 cents per contract.

Facebook Manipulates Your Mind

How Facebook manipulates your Likes, your mind, and why it is waste of time

Does facebook manipulate likes?

I recently took over managing an organization's fb account. Before me, they were doing a pretty lack lustre job. Saying "Hi!" every other day or posting memes that hardly related to their business.
On the week that I took over, I started posting really great photos of their product/property. Immediately post likes went up from 3/4 to 20-50 likes per post but page likes stayed stagnant. On the fourth day, I posted a photo that went somewhat viral (200 likes, 64 shares.) The next few days the page got 600 new likes.
Since then, I've continued posting great pics and info hoping for a repeat. The likes are creeping up slowly...3 a day or so.
My questions: Is it possible or likely that facebook gave me a lot of exposure that first week just to give me an addictive taste for likes? Or is it more likely that that one early random post went viral and nothing else since has been worthy?
Is there social network theory that may explain the early jump. (e.g. Given my graph and the strength of my brand, there is some baseline number of likes that would be attained almost immediately once I actually started trying with the page. But then I have to fight for small increments in likes after that? I dunno sounds a little wonky but there must be some math to this thing.
I guess bottom line: I'm trying to figure out what's attainable and where the goal posts lie - wondering how much I have to do to get there. If I'm asking the wrong questions, please feel free to enlighten/redirect. Thanks.

Stock Watch List Cabot Imdustries CBT

https://www.cabotcorp.com/

Cabot Industries (CBT)
Solid chemical company with local manufacturing plants allover the world, it is trading around 0.5 P/S,
It's debt is around 1 billion dollars,
yearly sales are about 3.2 billion,
outstanding shares 56.68  Million
short interest around 1.3 %

CBT options are thinly traded, but could be worth the risk to open long position for earnings and dividends towards end of May ? or buy the stock out right and sell covered calls ?
The other way to make money is to sell out of the money puts for premium.

Question: How badly sales will be affected by Covid 19 in next Q's ?

AIG Call Option $25 Strike May15

AIG Call Option to buy at $25 Strike with Expiration May 15th, for total cost $95.

Reasons for buying this Call are coming earnings on May 8th , tight trading range, good technical base, stock is oversold, gap around $30, possible recent buyback which could affect earnings on plus.

Cons: overall market looks bearish, current  Covid 19 lock down will affect rest of the year with shrinking revenues and earnings in multiple sectors,.... but this bearish sentiment could also mean high short interest in the market, which could prevent stocks to go south any time soon.

Neutral observations: High institutional ownership at 93.4 %, Low short interest at 1.64 %
